I am a highly experienced counsellor and have been in practice for over 27 years. I have a wealth of experience working with children, young people, individuals, couple/relationship counselling, and families.
I am a fully registered member of the BACP British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy) and a member of BACP’s Children, Young People and Families Division, and is bound by the code of Ethics & Practice demanded by the professional body. With an interest in Affective Science, I spent my formative years combining working in the commercial sector with my voluntary work as a Samaritan. I qualified in Individual Counselling in 1997 (AEB/CSCT Combined Certificate in Counselling) and then as a Couple Therapist in 2006 with Relate. I have gained my Certificate in Online and Telephone Counselling with Counselling Tutor (July 2020), and have found this has opened the door to many clients who may be at university or prefer not to travel to sessions.
Since 2009 I have also worked with children and young people within both the state and independent school sectors across London and Hertfordshire. I have developed and delivered many training workshops and courses for health authorities, businesses, and voluntary sectors; including Parenting Skills, Living with Teenagers, (accredited by the Open College Network Central England); Taking Charge of your Life; Peer Listening & Mentoring; Bullying and Bereavement Programmes. How Parents and Carers live with teens who have mental health challenges.
Currently, I have a busy private practice in Bushey working with Individuals, Couples, Families and Young People and also work as a counsellor at St Helens School for Girls and Immanuel College.
